Terms and conditions:
Bookings can only be made by persons over 25 years old with the legal capacity to enter into legally binding contracts.
20% deposit is needed to secure the booking, this deposit is non-refundable the balance of rental fee is due 6 weeks before the date of the of your holiday with us, and is non-refundable, therefore we advise that you take out relevant travel to cover your personal circumstances.
These terms and conditions are amended to £50 non-refundable deposit to cover administration costs and balance 6 weeks before your holiday dates.
Where a booking cannot proceed by reason of the need to comply with a Government order or change of law, then you will be offered a change of dates in the first instance, if we are unable to offer a suitable change of dates then we would look to offer a refund of any balance payment. We do advise that relevant travel insurance is taken out to cover any personal circumstances.
In the event of that the balance has not been paid 2 weeks before the holiday then the booking will be treated as cancelled.
You must make sure that all the information you provide to us in connection with your Booking is true, accurate, current and complete. If any of your details change (e.g. email address, postal address), you must promptly update your details. Please ensure that you check all of the booking details are correct at the time off booking.
Upon making your booking with us you agree to adhere to our terms and conditions of the use of the Property
That the number of people and pets occupying the Property will not exceed the number stated on in your Booking Confirmation;
That the Property will be used solely for the purpose of a holiday by you and your guests,
That you will be part of the party staying at in the Property.
That you will refrain from smoking or vaping inside the Property.
No candles to be used in the property.
No fireworks or Chinese lanterns to be set off from the Property or Drones flown above this or neighbouring Properties.
EV vehicles must not be charged on the premises.
That you will (and ensure that your Guests will) show all due consideration and respect for any Owners and their representatives and neighbours or other persons or parties that have a connection with the Property. This includes refraining from abusing your stewardship of the Property or dangerous, offensive, violent or anti-social behaviour towards such persons or parties, this includes late night partying and miss use of the hottub.
Hookstone House Holiday cottage is located in a residential community and although this is a holiday destination it's home to many people, therefore you agree to use the outside space with consideration to the local community and adhere to the quiet time from 11pm and reduce noise to a minimum. Please note we reserve the right to ask you to leave if we receive complaints regarding noise levels.
Hen, stag or mixed young groups are not accepted, unless by prior arrangement with written confirmations and security deposit received.
That you will (and ensure that your Guests will) use the Property and Rental Services lawfully, will not abuse any facilities provided as part of the Rental Services and will comply with any health and safety or other policies or instructions notified to you by us connection with the Property.
To allow us access to the Property at any reasonable time during the Holiday Period
To keep the Property and all furniture, utensils, equipment, fixtures and fittings in or on the Property in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the Holiday Period and to ensure that at the end of that period the Property is left in the same state of order and cleanliness in which it was found. We may make an additional, reasonable charge for professional cleaning after you and your Guests' occupancy as may be required to return the Property to its original state of cleanliness and tidiness;
2 well behaved dogs are accepted in the property, if bringing dogs to the property you agree to clean up after the dogs and that the dogs are kept downstairs and kept off the beds and the furniture. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the property unless by prior agreement with us and the dogs have a suitable cage to be left in.
To report as soon as possible to us any breakages or damage caused by you or your Guests during the Holiday Period. We reserve the right to charge for any damages that take place during your stay.
To arrive after 5pm. on the arrival day and to vacate the Property by 10 a.m. on the day of departure
Not to allow any person other than you and your Guests to use the facilities and amenities of the Property without the express permission of the Owner.
To notify all Guests before the Holiday Period starts of your and their obligations under these terms and conditions.
In the event that you or any Guest fails to comply with the requirements set out above, We can refuse to allow you and your Guests to enter and stay at the Property or can require you and your Guests to leave the Property before the end of the Holiday Period. In either case, you will be treated as having broken the terms of Rental Contract.
We are under a legal duty to supply services that are in conformity with our contract with you. You have certain legal rights as a consumer under the law and nothing in these Booking Conditions affects your legal rights. Advice about your legal rights in relation to the services we and Owners provide is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. If you make a booking with us we will collect Data necessary to confirm the details of your booking including number, name and age of all guests.
Why do we collect the Data?
We collect statistics about your use of our website via Cookies to enable us to refine our service offering eg by removing pages which are rarely visited and adding further detail to pages which are more frequently visited by users.
We request Data from you to enable us to respond to a request from you for information, to enable us to complete a booking as requested by you and, occasionally, send you promotional emails about special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to request details of the personal Data we hold about you (please use the Contact Us facility to raise your request and we will respond with a full list of any Data we hold about you).
You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to retain your Data at any point. Upon receipt of your instruction we will delete your Data after 180 days (the 180 day retention period is to enable us to respond to any Court authorised request from government or law enforcement officials for its disclosure).
You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our collection, retention or use of your Data with the UK Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
